Safety Measures

At Infection Prevention 2021, we will endeavour to make the conference safe for all our face-to-face attendees.

Relevant COVID-19 safety measures will be put in place, where required. These include items such as:

We acknowledge the differences in COVID rules across the 4 home nations, along with the continued regulations in healthcare settings. We will ensure that the safety measures adopted for IP2021 will reflect all these restrictions, to support delegates attending from all over the UK.
We will confirm that comprehensive safety measures will be implemented by the ACC to include; social distancing, one-way systems, hand sanitising stations, enhanced cleaning and contactless payment. We will provide guidance for wearing masks and request delegates arrive prepared.
For delegates who are unable to travel to Liverpool, don’t forget that the sessions can be accessed virtually. The presentations will be available live, and, for all delegates, as catch-up TV for 1 year, until September 2022.

Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony

Tuesday 28th September

7:30pm until Midnight

In addition to providing a platform to share extensive scientific knowledge and expertise, the IPS Annual Conference has an enjoyable social scene in which industry partners and delegates are given the opportunity to network and interact.

The evening will begin with a wine reception, followed by a 3 course meal. Before the dancing begins The Annual IPS Awards will be presented to acknowledge the contributions fellow professionals have made to infection prevention. Awards will also be presented for the Best Exhibition Stands (voted for via the IP2021 mobile app). The evening will include a disco to enable you to dance the night away.

To acknowledge the key role that masks have played over the past 18 months, this year’s gala dinner and awards ceremony will take the form of a Masquerade Ball. Delegates are encouraged to wear decorative masks.

Please note: This event is very popular and frequently sells out, we advise you to purchase your tickets early. Tickets must be purchased via the link on the conference website. There is no longer an operated seated plan – first come first served on the night (excluding IPS top tables)
